  1. Ah, Skip. No no, don’t get up! hee hee
Those are some great entries. I think the part of the brain where Poetry lives is broken in my brain. Though I went to Catholic school where people only wrote poetry that rhymed. You can see why I never got into it ??
I hope all is well, or as well as it can be. Holidays are hard. So are the pre-holidays. And non-holidays. Holy sheet shite, I think I just wrote a haiku.
    Holidays are hard.
    So are the pre-holidays.
    And non-holidays.
Don’t tell anyone, it’ll be our secret 🙂

  2. What is this having stuff to talk to the shrink all about? Contest decisions are obviously more important! JUST KIDDING. I am glad you have an outlet!

Skip …. Always Skip. I look forward to his piictures each week.

  3. This contest was truly for the birds. Congratulations to Frannie for winning, and Zoe for picking a good judge. T’was ever thus: Frannie and Zoe. So saith J. D. Salinger.

    Blessings and Bear hugs!

  4. I totally understand that sometimes we just can’t come up with joyful thoughts to share. I believe that some days we are doing really good just to show up and live in the present as best we can, and I know this is true for you. We are always grateful to see you here and to connect with you as friends, and of course we need our Skip fix too! 🙂 i’m betting that your shrink looks forward to your visits, they’ve got to be interesting conversations! 🙂

  5. Frannie did an awesome job on her haiku, it was one of my favorites! Congratulations to her! I’ll be heading over to find out how to order one of these books, his photos are so beautiful that I must have one! I could keep it in my office to cheer me up on gloomy days 🙂

  6. Skip looks comfortable, that’s for sure. I could use a nap myself today. Since I didn’t win the contest (really I thought yours about the Seuss characters was great), I’m just going to have to buy that book for my husband for Christmas. Wishing you good health in every way.

  7. hey! congratulations to the Winner!
no, Skip, no need to get up on my account!
hey Joy…. did you say catholic school? the mere mention of it creates a half-written post in my head, even as type… although there were those school uniforms!

  8. Those birds are so beautiful. I had no idea blue herons looked like that. Congrats to Frannie for winning such a gorgeous book! 🙂

  9. Dammit! I finally enter one of your contests and I don’t win! Sigh. Congratulations to Frannie, though.

xxxooo to Skip. More to you.

  10. Skip taking a snooze is so sweet.
Josie is right – some days just showing up is the best you have. Glad you have support. You know where to find me, too! (And that would be kicking your butt in the current WWF game…which is kind of fun for me since you usually school me big time!)
    I love Frannie’s poem – it’s perfect!
Major love and hugs to you. XOXOXO
